Bigger Than Amazon

Isaac Taylor

Satya Nadella has lead Microsoft from strength to strength. Microsoft might not always leave the strongest impression, but when they’re up 12% on the last quarter for a total of $33.7 billion, you can’t deny that they must be doing something right.

Amazon’s AWS is a beast and it’s growing, but Microsoft’s Azure is moving much faster and earning a lot more. “Our commercial cloud business is the largest in the world, surpassing $38 billion in revenue for the year.” said Satya Nadella, Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft. “Every day we work alongside our customers to help them build their own digital capability – innovating with them, creating new businesses with them, and earning their trust. This commitment to our customers’ success is resulting in larger, multi-year commercial cloud agreements and growing momentum across every layer of our technology stack.”

Our industry does not respect tradition – it only respects innovation.
