Occupation: Company Director / Owner
What’s your morning routine?
When I can drag myself out of bed, I head straight to Crossfit. Otherwise it’s a cup of tea and RadioLive on the drive to work.
What are the top three things on your bucket list?
Tour the southern States, catch that damn 20+ pound snapper and visit Antarctica
What advice would you give your 20 year-old self?
Back yourself, she’s keen!!! Stop smoking you idiot and get back on the footy field.
What is the secret to success?
I’m not sure there are any secrets. If you’re not sure, give it a nudge anyway.
What is the worst mistake you’ve made and how did you fix it?
My girlfriend’s UK visa expired and I let her return to New Zealand. I married her and moved over here to fix it.
What is your advice for people to fund their dream?
Don’t accept the bank’s first offer, ensure your account manager is right for you and shop around if you’re not happy with the service.
What is the best bit of advice, or quote, that resonates with you?
Gotta love Steve Job’s: “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are often the ones who do”. We have it painted on the wall in reception!!!
What’s your favourite restaurant?
Love French Café, but I just can’t think of a better setting than the Depot. Great food with such an awesome, casual atmosphere.
How do you keep up to date with current affairs?
Radio mainly. I’ve taken both LinkedIn and Facebook off my phone recently as I was spending far too much time looking at inconsequential updates.
What is the secret of living a longer, more successful life?
At 41, I’m not sure I’m qualified to answer yet, but exercise when you can and just keep smiling.
What makes you feel alive?
Diving for kai moana, watching my kids sport and securing a new client after we’ve wowed them.
